FINALLY, Warm weather = bath time
Our beautiful white Boogie wasn't so white and was in great need of a bath. It finally got warm enough to bathe horses. As with every aspect of life around here I am never short on helpers.
Boogie grows the longest tail of any horse I have ever owned. I keep it braided and after being in a braid all winter it was in need of a trim.

Another Birthday Girl
The long awaited "5" has come for Paris. Complete with a homemade birthday cake, balloons, cousins, food, and don't for get the presents, of course there were summer clothes and a breathing faux puppy but the best part to Paris was LOTS OF SQUISHY STUFF!!! Paris loves anything squishy, especially if it is a snake or spider or anything that is weird. Paris, God has given you a zest for life and fun and animals and all kinds of critters, you are such a blessing! I can't believe you are 5. Happy Birthday little one.

PORTIA END OF SCHOOL YEAR
Graduation Day...can you tell it was a bit windy?

Portia as a rabbit in her opera

Paris had to try on Portia's costume. She really got a big kick out of herself.
Time to breath..... It's been a very busy month for Portia. She has had an end of year dance recital a school play/opera, field day, bowling day, swimming, a 4th grade BBQ/yearbook signing and 4th grade graduation. She has had lots of end of the year assignments to get those grades up. She did it though, she buckled down and worked hard sometimes even well past her bed time. I'm very proud of her! She has really showed me that when challenged, she can and will rise to the occasion. She won a metal for her science project, got several A's and B's (mostly)on her report card. This year she has learned to write in cursive and memorized all her multiplication facts. She has really improved in her reading skills too. WAY TO GO PORTIA!!!

In The Arms Of An Angel
Christine,
We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday and days before that too.
We think of you in silence, we often speak your name.
All we have are memories and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake, for which we will never part.
God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts.
Your girls are growing so fast, a shadow of you they cast.
I tell them that you love them and one day together you will be.
On that day your picture they will no longer only see.

Today I took my petition to the "Throne of God"

DeWayne's cousin Blaine Gough has leukemia and is in the hospital now undergoing treatment.
A wonderful, kind and generous man that we both esteem very highly. A man that has gone out of his way over the years to help Dewayne and I get our start in this world as well as for countless others. A man who dearly loves his family and speaks only good of them. A man that for as long as I can remember has always sung the praises of his wife, Lynda and his kids. A man who's eyes sparkle when he talks about his grand kids.
Today I wrote this prayer for him and I took it to the throne of God.
A Get Well Prayer for Blaine
Father, hear my heartfelt prayer today for the healing of Blaine Gough.
A man that I care deeply for.
I pray for Your mercy , Your compassion, Your grace and Your love in making him whole and well again. Make the work of those treating and helping him be full of Your perfection, and grant him a quick and complete recovery.
Father, cause the bone marrow transplant to be successful.
Allow the leukemia to not only go into remission but to be completely eradicated from his body.
Then I pray Lord that You will restore Blaine's immune system quickly so that he may return to the life that you have so richly blessed him with.
Lead and guide those around him to provide what he needs: encouragement, assistance and support. Lord, I pray that You will wrap Your loving arms around him, giving him comfort, strength and peace, drawing him ever closer to You, as You lead him through this trying time.
May Your perfect will for Blaine's life continue to unfold, and may the "glory" of Jesus be revealed!
In Jesus' name I pray;
Amen.

Because of the completed work of Jesus Christ, on the cross. "It is Finished" Come quickly Lord Jesus.
